Comenda boast UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 environmental accreditation

Comenda have obtained the UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 environmental certification, tangible proof of the company’s awareness of ecological issues. The company has been committed to environmental protection since 1992, and its ECO2 mark is recognition of its ability to offer solutions that combine economy of management and ecology.

This certificate was awarded at the end of a complex auditing process conducted by engineers from the renowned German certification body TÜV, and is further proof of the on-going quest for product quality and process innovation that has enabled Comenda to conceive high-tech products combining top performance and energy saving, which are themselves made using methods with a low environmental impact.

The Milan-based company once again demonstrates its ability to understand the market and interpret major changes and trends, proving Comenda to be a dynamic, forward-looking company.

Obtaining environmental certification is part of Comenda’s global search for quality (the company already has ISO 9001:2008 certification), which, in times like these, is impossible to detach from the “environmental issue”.

A company seeking ISO 14001 certification (formulated in 1996 and reviewed in 2004) is required to establish precise guidelines regulating the environmental management system in view of achieving set objectives and targets. For Comenda, this has meant minimising the environmental impact of all aspects of production, from the procurement of raw materials and the production process to packaging and logistics.

This major commitment on the part of the company has given it a competitive edge, as  there are still relatively few businesses that are moving in the direction of ISO 14001 environmental certification.
